Refreshed 2027 Pacifica Minivan with New Design & Technology

2027 Chrysler Pacifica

Chrysler is updating its flagship family vehicle with a new front end, expanded safety features and a starting price of $41,495.

Chrysler is opening orders for a redesigned version of its Pacifica minivan, the company announced, introducing a sharper exterior, a reorganized technology lineup and new standard features as the brand seeks to defend its position in a segment it created in the early 1980s.

The 2027 Pacifica, which is expected to arrive at dealerships this summer, represents the latest effort by Chrysler to keep its sole remaining vehicle relevant to American families at a moment when the minivan — long eclipsed in popularity by the S.U.V. — has struggled to command attention.

The most visible changes come to the vehicle’s front end. On the Select, Limited and Pinnacle trims, the updated Pacifica receives vertical LED headlamps and a new illuminated grille that the company describes as having a “piano keys” light signature. A revised Chrysler wing logo appears both at the front and on the rear liftgate.

Inside, the top-of-the-line Pinnacle model gets an exclusive Blue Agave Nappa leather interior — a new color option — along with Copper Alloy accent bezels and a revised perforation pattern on the seats that Chrysler is calling “Parquet.”

Chrysler is also expanding its safety offerings. The updated Safety Sphere Package will now include Turn Signal-activated Blind Spot View and ParkSense-based Camera Activation, additions the company says are intended to increase situational awareness for drivers navigating crowded parking lots and busy roads alike.

One of the more practical updates may be the addition of an adjustable-height power liftgate, which becomes standard across all trim levels. The feature is designed to accommodate drivers of varying heights and to make loading easier in garages with low ceilings.

On the technology side, Chrysler said it was separating two previously bundled packages — the Uconnect Theater system and what the company is now calling the Family Tech Group — to give buyers more flexibility in choosing features like Amazon Fire TV integration, an interior camera system called FamCAM, and premium audio.

The company is also renaming its entry-level model. The Voyager, which had served as the budget option in the Pacifica lineup, will now be called the Pacifica LX, starting at $41,495. The LX retains the Voyager’s more modest exterior styling while adding power sliding doors, heated seats and a heated steering wheel as standard equipment.

Matt McAlear, Chrysler’s chief executive, framed the update as a continuation of the brand’s founding legacy. “Chrysler created the minivan 43 years ago, and we fully intend to continue leading the segment we invented,” he said in a statement.

The Pacifica continues to offer the brand’s signature Stow ‘n Go seating, a system that allows second- and third-row seats to fold flat into the floor — a feature Chrysler has long marketed as setting its minivans apart from competitors. All-wheel drive remains available on Select, Limited and Pinnacle trims, with prices ranging from $47,890 to $58,255 for AWD configurations.
