The Connected Car Expo has announced the roster for CTIA Super Mobility Week in Las Vegas, NV, September 9-11. The event is expected to a preview of the Connected Car Expo at the LA Auto Show November 18-20.
Before the show are several days devoted to Ford, with the Ford App Developer Conference on September 8, the over night Ford Hackathon (9/8-9/9) and Ford App Pursuit (9/9-11).
There is a CCE pavillion with mobile apps from Hertz Neverlost, Lixar, OnStar and Speaktoit.
Connected Car Conference (C3) founder Doug Newcomb announced the formation of the Connect Car Council and its inaugural members.
The Connected Car Council will market its members and help shape future C3 with topics such as distracted driving, data, networking, infotainment and privacy/security.
This week has been a very news worthy week in the connected car space. News stories included the first deployment of 4G LTE in US cars, trade shows, a new research center and liability issues.
The Los Angeles Auto Show announced the board members and director of this year’s Connected Car Expo (CCE). There is a new conference director and support from people from Aeris Communications, AT&T, Ford, Google, MERA, Pandora and Strategy Analytics.
The Connected Car Expo will be held in conjunction with the LA Auto Show Press Days November 18, 19 and 20. A new feature will be the Connected City Summit, which will address how technology is transforming transportation and safety to infrastructure in cities.
