Stellantis to Showcase New Pacifica, Dodge Durango, Ram ProMaster, Dodge Charger, Alfa Romeo Tonale & More

2027 Chrysler Pacifica

Stellantis, the global automaker behind some of Detroit’s most recognizable nameplates, is preparing a multibrand showcase at the New York International Auto Show next month, headlined by a refreshed version of the Chrysler Pacifica, the best-selling minivan in America.

Matt McAlear, who leads both the Chrysler and Dodge brands, is scheduled to unveil the updated 2027 Pacifica and a limited-edition Dodge Durango on April 1 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in Manhattan. Public days run from April 3 through April 12.

“Chrysler continues to define the minivan segment it created 43 years ago,” Mr. McAlear said in a statement. The refreshed model, he added, builds on the design and safety features that have made the Pacifica a staple of American family life.

The Durango reveal carries a patriotic theme. Stellantis’s four American brands — Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram — are serving as exclusive automotive sponsors of America250, the federal commission organizing events around the nation’s 250th anniversary this July Fourth. The special-edition Durango America250, along with branded vehicles from the other Stellantis labels, will be displayed on the show floor.

Ram is bringing considerable firepower of its own. The brand plans to introduce the 2027 Ram 1500 SRT TRX, a supercharged pickup it describes as the fastest and most powerful production gas truck in the world, producing 777 horsepower. Ram is also reviving the ProMaster City, a compact commercial van aimed at urban businesses, and showing off an upgraded Power Wagon heavy-duty off-road truck equipped, for the first time, with a high-output Cummins diesel engine rated at 1,075 pound-feet of torque.

Dodge, meanwhile, is using the show to debut a new exterior color on its Charger Scat Pack, which won North American Car of the Year for 2026. The 550-horsepower model, priced under $55,000, reaches 60 miles per hour in 3.9 seconds.

Jeep, which is marking its 85th anniversary, plans to display the Trail Rated, fully electric 2026 Recon, with an estimated range of up to 250 miles and a starting price of $65,000. The brand will also showcase a new Cherokee featuring a hybrid engine with an estimated fuel economy of 37 miles per gallon combined, as well as a refreshed Grand Cherokee boasting an estimated driving range of 529 miles on a single tank.

Alfa Romeo is showing a refreshed version of its Tonale compact SUV, featuring a redesigned front end inspired by the storied 33 Stradale supercar, while Fiat is displaying a Giorgio Armani Collector’s Edition of its 500e electric city car, adorned with the Italian designer’s signature on the dashboard and available in two exclusive colors.

For families attending the public days, Chrysler is reprising its Stow ‘n Go Challenge, a timed interactive event testing how quickly participants can fold seats and load gear into a Pacifica. Camp Jeep, a perennial attraction since 2005 that has taken nearly 565,000 visitors on off-road demonstration rides, will return outside the Javits Center. Both experiences are free to auto show attendees.
