Posted on March 25, 2014 by Lynn Walford

Ford Mustang 2015The new Mustang 2105 will have all sorts of high tech gadgetry along with New York publicity for the car’s 50th anniversary.

The 2015 Ford Mustang will be the first Ford car with the next generation MyFord Touch SYNC AppLink. The SYNC system offers voice control of entertainment, climate control, navigation and linked mobile devices. The system can read notifications out loud.

The system also allows for Domino’s pizza ordering with a connected smartphone and SYNC compatible Domino’s pizza app. Other Sync AppLink apps include Parkopedia, Parkmobile and home security ADT app. More apps are expected in the future.

Push button start lets you unlock the door and start the car without ever having to reach into your pocket.

The Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) uses two rear radar sensors to warn you of cars approaching on either side.  It warns of cross-traffic  you can’t see when you’re backing out of a parking space.

A standard feature of the Ford Mustang 2015 EcoBoost and GT is “Track Apps” that includes acceleration measurement, braking air-fuel ratio, cylinder-head temperature, oil pressure and more.  There is metric translator and racing measurement.

At presentation of the Ford Mustang, Scott Lindstrom, sated,  “It’s definitely the most technologically advanced Mustang we ever made.”

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Mustang, Ford will show the 2015 Mustang convertible on the top of the Empire State building on April 16-17. The car will be taken apart so that it can fit in the elevators and then assembled on the observation deck where 50 years ago the original Mustang was revealed that was seven inches shorter and four inches thinner.
