Genesis revealed the redesigned 2026 GV70 and Electrified GV70 SUVs at an exclusive Los Angeles event on November 19, setting the stage for their North American debut in the first half of 2025. Produced in both Montgomery, Alabama, and Ulsan, Korea, these refreshed models showcase the brand’s commitment to blending utility, cutting-edge technology, and luxury. Adding to the excitement, Genesis announced the expansion of its standalone retail network to 60 locations in just three years.
Bold New Look, Inside and Out
The 2026 GV70 and Electrified GV70 step up their game with an evolution of Genesis’ “Athletic Elegance” design philosophy. The GV70’s redesigned G-Matrix Crest Grille and multi-lens array (MLA) headlamps make a bold first impression, while the Electrified GV70 adapts its grille to house a sleek, integrated charge port. Both models feature a robust front skid plate, extended air intakes, and redesigned 19- and 21-inch wheels that elevate their sporty profile.
Inside, Genesis’ “Beauty of White Space” design principle shines with a new 27-inch OLED display, seamlessly combining the cluster and infotainment system in a sleek horizontal layout. Ten exterior colors and four Nappa leather options (including the striking Ultramarine Blue) ensure the GV70 lineup makes a statement, while the Electrified GV70 offers six exterior hues and two interior palettes.
Tech and Comfort Upgrades
Both SUVs boast enhanced convenience features like voice recognition for HVAC and window controls, improved over-the-air update capabilities, and a digital key system now extended to the second row. A new Terrain Mode lets drivers tailor performance to snow, mud, or sand, while upgraded advanced driver assistance systems add features like diagonal parking and improved lane-following functionality.
Genesis hasn’t forgotten about creature comforts. A Bang & Olufsen sound system with Beosonic tech, triple-zone climate control, and customizable ambient lighting elevate the in-cabin experience. Powertrain options for the GV70 include a 300-hp 2.5L turbocharged inline-four and a 375-hp 3.5L twin-turbo V6, while the Electrified GV70 gets an 84-kWh battery for improved range and a NACS charge port as standard. Expanding the Genesis Experience
As the GV70 continues to dominate the North American market with over 85,000 units sold since 2021, Genesis is scaling its standalone retail facilities across the U.S. and Canada. Four new U.S. locations opened recently, including firsts for Washington and Minnesota, and the Canadian network now spans 30 distributors nationwide.
With the redesigned 2026 GV70 and Electrified GV70, Genesis continues to push the envelope in luxury, design, and performance, cementing its status as a force to be reckoned with in the SUV space. Look for these head-turners at retailers starting in early 2025.
