Jeep’s flagship SUV, the 2026 Grand Wagoneer, returns with renewed sophistication, bolder design, and a new level of attainable luxury that places full-size capability within closer reach for American families. The refreshed Grand Wagoneer introduces a unified identity under the Jeep brand, offering more powertrain choices, a refined aesthetic, and a price that starts below $65,000 — a move designed to broaden its appeal in a competitive segment.
This new generation represents more than a cosmetic evolution. With its first-ever range-extended electric variant and the continuation of the award-winning 3.0-liter Hurricane Twin Turbo engine, the 2026 Grand Wagoneer signals Jeep’s commitment to modern mobility while maintaining its reputation for rugged endurance.
“Every Grand Wagoneer now wears the Jeep badge with pride,” said Bob Broderdorf, Jeep brand CEO. “We’re offering a level of refinement, capability, and value that honors our American heritage while ensuring that families don’t have to compromise between sophistication and adventure.”
A Unified Identity Under Jeep
For the first time, the Grand Wagoneer lineup will exist exclusively under the Jeep nameplate. By retiring the standalone Wagoneer brand, Jeep simplifies its luxury SUV portfolio and reinforces the flagship’s role as the top expression of the company’s craftsmanship and 4×4 capability. Built with families and explorers in mind, the 2026 model embodies a cohesive design philosophy that connects luxury, durability, and intelligent performance across all trims.
Powertrains With Purpose
Two distinct powertrains define the new lineup. The standard 3.0-liter Hurricane Twin Turbo inline-six continues to lead in both horsepower and towing strength, while the forthcoming range-extended electric variant introduces Jeep’s most advanced propulsion system to date — America’s first range-extended sport utility vehicle application.
The Hurricane engine delivers 420 horsepower and 468 lb.-ft. of torque, pairing refinement with best-in-class towing capability of up to 10,000 pounds. Advanced technologies such as cooled exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) optimize performance and efficiency, offering more output and fewer emissions than comparable V-8 engines.
The upcoming Grand Wagoneer REEV combines electric serenity with long-distance confidence. A liquid-cooled 92-kWh battery powers electric motors exclusively, providing instant torque and quiet zero-emission operation for daily driving. A 3.6-liter V-6 acts as a generator, extending range when needed, converting mechanical power to electricity to recharge the battery or sustain propulsion. Together, the system delivers a remarkable 647 horsepower, 620 lb.-ft. of torque, and 0–60 mph acceleration in just five seconds. With an expected total range exceeding 500 miles, the REEV sets a new benchmark in performance and practicality for the segment.
Designed for the Modern Era
The 2026 Grand Wagoneer’s exterior exudes presence and precision. A taller front fascia, raised headlamps, and illuminated seven-slot grille lend the vehicle a more commanding and contemporary face. Full-width LED lighting at both the front and rear visually broadens the SUV, while the chrome-free finish underscores a shift toward cleaner, more sustainable design principles.
Wheel options, ranging from 18 to 22 inches, enable personalization from urban elegance to off-road strength. The result is a full-size SUV that appears both timeless and forward-thinking — a visual balance of American strength and refined restraint.
Elevated Interiors for Every Trim
Inside, Jeep’s designers have refined materials and color palettes to reflect understated sophistication. Across trims — Grand Wagoneer, Limited, Limited Reserve, and Summit — the focus is on tactile quality and modern craftsmanship.
The Grand Wagoneer and Limited models feature Capri or Nappa leather seating, brushed metallic accents, and stitched details in Sea Salt or all-black themes. The Limited Reserve introduces a tri-pane sunroof, a 19-speaker McIntosh sound system, and a head-up display that now offers twice the virtual image distance for clearer information delivery.
At the top, the Summit and Summit Reserve trims emphasize luxury through authentic materials, including open-pore Dark Waxed Walnut wood and Palermo leather. A new interior palette — black, Tupelo, and Dark Ruby Red (available later in 2026) — creates a distinct atmosphere of modern opulence. The 23-speaker McIntosh system, ventilated rear seating, integrated front cooler, and passenger-side interactive display complete an environment that rivals high-end sedans.
Pricing and Availability
Jeep’s strategy with the 2026 Grand Wagoneer is to deliver attainable luxury without compromise. Production of models equipped with the Hurricane engine will begin later this year at the Warren Truck Assembly Plant in Michigan, which also will build the Grand Wagoneer REEV as part of a $97.6 million investment in electrified vehicles.
