Toyota Motor North America, in collaboration with Toyota Financial Services, Gulf States Toyota, Southeast Toyota, and local dealerships including Vic Vaughan Toyota of Boerne, has committed more than $600,000 to assist communities affected by the July 4th flash floods in Kerr County and the Texas Hill Country. The funds will support the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country’s Kerr County Flood Relief Fund and other regional recovery efforts.
“Our hearts go out to everyone affected by this horrible tragedy,” said Ted Ogawa, chief executive of Toyota Motor North America, who praised the work of first responders and emphasized the importance of community support during disasters. This initiative reflects Toyota’s “One Toyota” approach, uniting its national, regional, and local operations.
Dan Friedkin, chairman and CEO of Gulf States Toyota, described the devastation as personal for the company, which was founded in Texas and maintains strong ties to the region. He reaffirmed GST’s commitment to stand with local communities during times of hardship and help them recover and rebuild.
Vic Vaughan Toyota of Boerne and the Vic Vaughan Family Foundation are contributing directly to flood response, joining many Toyota dealers nationwide who are providing financial and logistical support. Toyota’s TMNA Dealer Match Program will match up to $10,000 in dealer donations for flood relief efforts.
Toyota Financial Services and Lexus Financial Services are offering flexible payment relief options to customers in affected areas, including deferred payments and online account support. Impacted customers can contact customer service or log into their financial services accounts for assistance.
Employees across Toyota’s U.S. operations are contributing to the relief efforts, with the company matching all donations 2-to-1. In San Antonio, team members at the Toyota Texas manufacturing plant are collecting clothing, food, water, and other essential supplies.
Gulf States Toyota is also matching employee donations, extending the program to associates from across Friedkin-affiliated companies. These actions align with Toyota’s ongoing partnerships with the American Red Cross and SBP, both active in national disaster response and long-term rebuilding efforts.
