Stellantis: Dodge, Jeep Ram, & Fiat Offers 10 Yr-Free Connected Car Options or Paid Wi-Fi Plan

In an era where digital features have become integral to the driving experience, Stellantis is streamlining its approach to connected services for U.S. customers. Starting this month, the multinational automaker is rolling out a simplified, two-tier subscription system aimed at making vehicle connectivity more accessible, valuable, and easier to understand. The changes apply to new and eligible used Dodge, Jeep, Ram, and FIAT brand vehicles, with other marques like Chrysler and Alfa Romeo set to follow soon.

The new connected services structure comprises two clearly defined tiers: Connect ONE and Connect Wi-Fi PLUS. Together, they aim to clarify the often-confusing landscape of automotive digital services by packaging core and premium features into two distinct, user-friendly offerings. Stellantis executives describe the overhaul as a direct response to customer feedback about pricing transparency and usability.

“We’ve been listening to our customers and simplifying connected services to give them more value, more clarity, and more control,” said Cristiani Campos, senior vice president of the Stellantis software business unit. “By including essential software for the full life of the vehicle and bundling popular features like Wi-Fi, we are giving our customers a connected experience that works better for everyday needs.”

Connect ONE: Core Services at No Extra Cost

At the base level, Connect ONE provides essential connected features at no additional cost for a full decade after the purchase or lease of a qualifying vehicle. This no-cost package includes a suite of services aimed at convenience, safety, and ongoing vehicle performance. Among its features are over-the-air (OTA) software updates, vehicle health reports, service scheduling, automatic emergency (SOS) calls, and recall notifications.

Drivers also gain access to remote lock and unlock functionality via the official brand app, along with smartphone-based digital key features (when supported by the vehicle), in-vehicle gaming, electric vehicle (EV) charging management tools, and basic navigation.

Significantly, this free package extends services that were previously limited. For instance, remote locking/unlocking was once available only for three months; it now spans ten years. Similarly, vehicle health and service-related features, formerly capped at five years, will also be active for a full decade under Connect ONE.

Connect Wi-Fi PLUS: Premium Features for the Always-Connected Driver

For those seeking a deeper integration of digital tools into their driving routines, Stellantis introduces Connect Wi-Fi PLUS. This premium, subscription-based service builds on Connect ONE’s foundational offerings by adding high-performance features geared toward connectivity, safety, and convenience.

Connect Wi-Fi PLUS enables a Wi-Fi hotspot capable of supporting up to eight devices — a feature particularly useful for families, road-trippers, and mobile professionals. It also includes advanced remote vehicle operations, such as remote start, climate pre-conditioning, and location services using horn and light signals.

Security-conscious users will appreciate built-in stolen vehicle tracking, while Drive Alerts let users define geofences, speed limits, and time-based restrictions — useful for households with teen drivers or multiple users of the same vehicle. The package also integrates voice controls and connected navigation, offering real-time traffic updates, speed camera alerts, fuel prices, and even last-mile guidance when the driver leaves the car.

In a nod to growing demand for smart home integration, Amazon Alexa is embedded directly into the vehicle, enabling voice control for both in-car functions and smart devices at home.

New vehicle buyers can access a three-month free trial of Connect Wi-Fi PLUS, provided they activate it within 30 days of purchasing or leasing the vehicle. After the promotional period, the subscription is priced at $17.99 per month.

Broad Availability and Easy Activation

The new connected services structure is being rolled out immediately across eligible Dodge, Jeep, Ram, and FIAT vehicles in the U.S., with Chrysler and Alfa Romeo vehicles expected to adopt the new system later this year. Canadian customers can anticipate a similar rollout in the coming months. Services can be managed via each brand’s dedicated smartphone app or website.

For current Stellantis owners with eligible models, the new packages will be available retroactively starting this month. Activation is handled at the dealership, where the Connect ONE package is automatically included with the vehicle. The trial for Connect Wi-Fi PLUS can also be initiated during setup.

While the overhaul applies to most new vehicles, Stellantis notes that SiriusXM satellite radio and optional services like Hands-Free Active Driving remain unchanged. Similarly, older models — such as 2025 and earlier Dodge Durango, Chrysler Pacifica, and Jeep Compass vehicles — will retain their current connected services structure.

A Strategic Move in the Digital Auto Age

The overhaul represents more than a customer service improvement — it signals Stellantis’ broader strategy to position connected services as a defining pillar of its brand experience. As automakers increasingly compete not only on hardware but also on software and digital features, simplification and transparency have become key differentiators.

With Connect ONE and Connect Wi-Fi PLUS, Stellantis is betting that clearly defined, long-lasting digital features will not only satisfy customers but also drive long-term brand loyalty.

As Campos put it, “This is about creating a digital backbone for our vehicles — one that grows with our customers and adapts to their everyday lives.”
