Sony Honda Mobility’s Afeela Takes Center Stage at CES 2026

Tomorrow Monday January 5,  at CES 2026 in Las Vegas, Sony Honda Mobility will spotlight its Afeela electric vehicle as a major part of its press activities, signaling a shift from Sony’s typical broad tech announcements toward a concentrated focus on electric mobility. The joint venture between Sony and Honda is holding its first independent press conference on January 5 ahead of the show’s public opening, where it will share updates on the pre-production Afeela 1 and reveal details of a new Afeela concept vehicle. Visitors to the CES booth (Central Hall, Booth #20800) can expect to see multiple pre-production Afeela 1 vehicles in different color variations alongside the new concept as the company illustrates the evolution of its mobility brand ahead of planned deliveries later in 2026. Hyundai Motor Group to Unveil AI Robotics Vision and New Atlas Robot at CES 2026

Hyundai Motor Group will present its groupwide AI Robotics Strategy at CES 2026 under the theme “Partnering Human Progress,” emphasizing human-robot collaboration and manufacturing innovation. During a January 5 Media Day in Las Vegas, the company will outline plans to integrate AI robotics across its Group Value Network and Software-Defined Factory approach. A key highlight will be the first public CES debut of Boston Dynamics’ next-generation Atlas robot, signaling a push toward commercial, AI-powered robotic co-workers. The Group will also host an interactive CES exhibition showcasing real-world robotics applications and demonstrations from January 6 to 9.

STRADVISION and Renesas Showcase AI Front Vision

STRADVISION will demonstrate its SVNet FrontVision camera-based perception software running on Renesas’ next-generation R-Car X5H automotive SoC at CES 2026. Built on Renesas’ first 3nm, fifth-generation R-Car platform, the demo highlights real-time front camera perception for ADAS within centralized, software-defined vehicle architectures. Integrated with the R-Car Open Access platform, the collaboration underscores how production-ready vision software can support multi-domain, AI-centric vehicle computing and accelerate ADAS and SDV development for OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers.

Schaeffler to Showcase Intelligent Motion Technologies

At CES 2026 in Las Vegas, Schaeffler will present its broad motion technology portfolio, highlighting intelligent components and systems for humanoid robotics, energy generation, industrial automation, and software-defined vehicles. Key exhibits include a new planetary gear actuator for humanoid robots, advanced bearing solutions for energy and data center applications, autonomous material handling systems for smart factories, and technologies that simplify vehicle architectures while supporting electrification and autonomy.
