Wind Free Toyota bZ Support Special Olympics

In a move that blends mobility innovation with social impact, Special Olympics, Inc. has launched a nationwide sweepstakes offering one lucky supporter the chance to win a 2026 Toyota bZ — an all-electric vehicle valued at over $50,000 — while supporting the organization’s mission to empower athletes with intellectual disabilities.

The Special Olympics Toyota bZ Sweepstakes, which runs from August 1 to September 30, 2025, invites participants across the United States (excluding Minnesota and Washington) to enter. No donation or purchase is necessary to participate, though each entry helps amplify the nonprofit’s work to foster inclusion through year-round sports, health, and leadership programming.

The centerpiece prize, Toyota’s latest bZ battery electric vehicle, represents the automaker’s vision for sustainable, accessible mobility. Available in front-wheel and all-wheel drive variants, the 2026 model boasts an estimated range of up to 314 miles per charge, depending on configuration — a nod to the increasing viability of EVs for mainstream drivers.

But the sweepstakes is about more than just automotive ambition.

“Toyota has been a steadfast champion of inclusion, and their commitment continues to open new doors for our athletes,” said Shira Mitchell, Senior Vice President of Development at Special Olympics. “This sweepstakes is an opportunity for people across the country to stand with our movement and help empower individuals with intellectual disabilities through the power of sport.”

Toyota, a global partner of Special Olympics since 2017, has supported a host of international and national events, including the 2015 World Games in Los Angeles, the 2018 and 2022 Unified Cups, and the upcoming 2025 World Winter Games in Turin. Their investment is part of a broader mobility-for-all philosophy — one that now takes tangible form in the bZ electric lineup.

“Special Olympics’ commitment to expanding access to sport fits seamlessly with Toyota’s mission of mobility for all,” said Dedra DeLilli, vice president of marketing communications at Toyota. “We’re proud to continue our support through this exciting sweepstakes.”

For athletes like Kevin Gwaltney-Testerman of Special Olympics Oklahoma, the campaign is personal. “Being part of Special Olympics has changed my life,” he said. “It means a lot to know that companies like Toyota believe in us. This sweepstakes is a fun way to get more people involved.”

A random drawing will be held on or around October 21, and the winner will be notified via the contact information provided during entry. Full rules, eligibility requirements (including the age minimum of 21), and legal terms can be found at the entry site.

At its heart, the sweepstakes offers more than a car — it offers a chance to help drive a more inclusive future.

Entries accepted until September 30, 2025.
