AMLA registration opens today

In a city known for both its deep automotive heritage and technological ambition, the Los Angeles Auto Show will once again become the focal point for the global mobility industry this November. Organizers of the long-running event announced Thursday that registration is now open for AutoMobility LA 2025, the annual media and industry preview day that sets the stage for the 118th edition of the iconic auto show.

The one-day event, taking place on Thursday, November 20 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, will offer a concentrated glimpse into the future of transportation—before the ten-day public show opens its doors.

This year’s theme, “The Future in Motion,” nods to the increasingly fluid and fast-paced evolution of how people and goods move across land, air, and sea. From artificial intelligence and sustainable design to electrification and new ownership models, organizers say the 2025 edition will feature technologies that are reshaping mobility on a global scale.

“AutoMobility LA continues to be where big ideas become real-world solutions,” said Terri Toennies, president of the Los Angeles Auto Show, in a statement. “We’re proud to host industry leaders, visionary brands, and key policymakers who are defining the next chapter of global transportation—right here in Los Angeles.”

As in past years, AutoMobility LA will feature a blend of keynote conversations, vehicle debuts, panel discussions, and media previews. The event has become a launchpad not only for product unveilings, but for strategic announcements from automakers, technology firms, and policymakers navigating the increasingly intertwined worlds of transportation and innovation.

This year’s Main Stage, presented by Cox Automotive, is expected to draw considerable attention. Curated in partnership with leading industry media, the stage will feature a series of high-profile sessions, all livestreamed by CarBuzz and hosted by Juliette Ferrara, Head of Industry for Automotive at SiriusXM Media.

Among the featured topics:

  • The Future of Luxury EVs: A sit-down with Marc Winterhoff, interim CEO of Lucid Motors, exploring the company’s evolving approach to high-performance electric luxury vehicles and its broader strategic roadmap.
  • AI Is Now: A discussion on how artificial intelligence is already transforming both the consumer and dealership experience, featuring Marianne Johnson, EVP and Chief Product Officer at Cox Automotive, and David Foutz, Vice President of Enterprise Client Management.
  • Future of Air and Sea: A bold look beyond the road at emerging electric and autonomous applications in watercraft and aviation. Confirmed speakers include Ken Karklin, CEO of Pivotal, and Mitch Lee, Co-Founder and CEO of Arc Boats.
  • Are We There Yet?: A reality check on the current state of autonomous vehicle development, hosted by Partners for Automated Vehicle Education (PAVE). Confirmed participants include Stephen Hayes, VP of Autonomous at Lyft, with more to be announced.
  • Cars & Coffee: A culture-meets-policy session featuring Mike Spagnola, CEO of SEMA, exploring the intersection of car enthusiasm, legislation, and future innovation.

The full agenda will continue to evolve in the coming weeks, with additional speakers, brands, and sessions expected to be announced as the show draws closer.

While the Main Stage is the intellectual centerpiece of AutoMobility LA, the day also serves a practical purpose for journalists and industry professionals: early access to dozens of vehicle debuts and concept showcases, long before the public arrives. Many automakers now time their most significant U.S. product announcements with the start of AMLA, making it a critical milestone on the automotive calendar.

Registration is now open, with early-bird industry pricing set at $149 through October 15 and rising to $249 starting October 16. Accredited journalists can attend free of charge. All attendees must register in advance via automobilityla.com, where credentials will be verified.

Following AutoMobility LA, the Los Angeles Auto Show will run from November 21 through November 30, taking over more than one million square feet of the convention center. The public show will feature interactive exhibits, test drives, vehicle launches, and immersive experiences that continue to make the LA Auto Show one of the most influential—and longest-running—consumer auto expos in the world.

Founded in 1907, the Los Angeles Auto Show has evolved alongside the city it calls home. Once a regional showcase for chrome and horsepower, the show is now a reflection of California’s role as a nexus of climate policy, automotive innovation, and cultural leadership. Whether unveiling the latest electric SUV or debating the ethics of autonomous driving, the show remains a window into how transportation is changing—and where it may go next.

Attendees and industry watchers can expect more speaker announcements and agenda updates as November approaches. For ongoing updates, the show encourages visitors to follow along on social media or sign up for alerts at laautoshow.com.

AutoMobility LA, as organizers describe it, is more than a media day—it’s a platform for conversation, collaboration, and the convergence of ideas that will shape the vehicles, infrastructure, and urban spaces of tomorrow
