Sourcewell Contract for Blink Charging

Blink Charging has been awarded a multi-year Sourcewell contract, effective through September 18, 2029, with the option for three additional one-year extensions. The agreement allows more than 50,000 government, education, and nonprofit agencies to purchase Blink’s EV charging equipment and services through Sourcewell’s cooperative purchasing program, eliminating the need for lengthy RFP processes.

The contract grants agencies access to Blink’s Level 2 and DC fast chargers, network software, installation, maintenance, training, and full lifecycle support. Blink says the award underscores its commitment to enabling public-sector electrification and expanding charging infrastructure nationwide.

With over 700 competitively sourced contracts in its portfolio, Sourcewell offers members transparent pricing, volume discounts, and vendor vetting. Blink’s inclusion positions the company to support growing EV infrastructure demand and help communities meet sustainability and transportation-electrification goals.

Driivz Launches Platform V9

Driivz, a Vontier company and major global provider of EV charging software, has released Platform Version 9, now available to customers across 30+ countries. The upgraded platform introduces large-scale, data-driven tools to help EV charging networks improve reliability, optimize revenue, and manage energy more intelligently as they expand.

Platform V9 is built around four major pillars:

  1. Optimized Revenue Generation – New cost visibility tools, granular monetization options (including idle/overstay fees and incremental credit card authorization), automated tariff updates, CTEP-compliant cost displays, and a Tableau-powered revenue dashboard.
  2. Maximized Network Stability & Availability – A new Network Optimizer continuously monitors charger performance with customizable triggers, resolving issues proactively to improve uptime and reduce maintenance costs.
  3. Smart Energy Management for Higher Profit – An enhanced EMS that supports central cloud orchestration and local site control, with smart load management, site-wide energy asset integration, grid cost control, demand-response and V2G revenue opportunities, plus advanced analytics.
  4. Streamlined Fleet Charging – Tools for depot operators, shared scheduling (Book & Charge), SoC-based charge planning, and full home-charging oversight and reimbursement for fleet drivers.

Overall, Platform V9 delivers deeper insights, stronger control, and scalable energy resilience to help operators reduce costs and stay competitive as EV charging networks grow.

Ava Community Energy Fast Charging Hub in Oakland

Ava Community Energy has opened its first EV fast charging station in downtown Oakland, marking the start of a planned 15-station network across its service area. The new Ava Charge site, located at the Oakland City Center West Garage, is now the largest non-Tesla fast charging hub in Northern California. It includes 18 chargers and 31 connectors, compatible with all EV models.

As a Community Choice Aggregator, Ava worked with member cities to place stations near public garages, business districts, curbsides, and multi-family housing—important in Alameda County, where nearly half of residents are renters without home-charging options. The effort aims to expand clean-transportation access and reduce barriers to EV adoption.

The project supports Oakland’s 2030 Equitable Climate Action Plan, which focuses on delivering climate benefits to frontline communities and building reliable, accessible charging infrastructure. EV Realty led engineering and construction, while Kempower supplied the chargers.

Ava plans up to 14 more fast charging stations by 2030 to advance clean energy access and make EV use more attainable for all communities.

Electreon Signs MoU to Acquire InductEV Assets

Electreon, the leader in dynamic wireless EV charging, has signed an MoU to acquire the assets of InductEV, the top U.S. provider of ultra-fast static wireless charging for heavy-duty fleets. If finalized, the deal would create the industry’s most comprehensive wireless charging platform, combining Electreon’s dynamic and high-power stationary solutions with InductEV’s ultra-fast static systems.

The unified company would offer end-to-end wireless charging for all EV segments—from passenger cars to autonomous vehicles—supported by nearly 400 patents, deep OEM partnerships, and extensive real-world project experience. Electreon’s manufacturing efficiency and InductEV’s North American leadership would further accelerate global expansion.

Leaders from both companies view the agreement as a transformative step that strengthens innovation, simplifies fleet electrification, and positions the combined entity as a global force in wireless charging. The transaction is still subject to due diligence, final documentation, and regulatory approval.
