In the latest effort to merge high-end car marketing with Goop wellness, Genesis has teamed up Gwyneth Paltrow. The result? The Forest Within—an immersive installation at Genesis House in NYC .
Paltrow decorates Genesis House’s Cellar Stage to create restorative transformative experiences though scents and sounds. Genesis House is sophisticated Oasis in the heart of the meatpacking district in New York City.
“Blending the physical and digital realms with lush greenery designed by renowned floral artist, Jeff Leatham, and the immersive LED stage at Genesis House, Paltrow’s voice follows the Tiger as it guides visitors through an immersive sanctuary inspired by the timeless landscapes of the Sobaek Mountains.”
Paltrow waxes poetic about how “technology deepens our connection to wellness.” The news release states, “Paltrow brings that passion to Genesis House through The Forest Within, reimagining the space as a holistic, immersive environment that both grounds and heals guests through nature.”
But don’t worry, this isn’t just a walk in faux healing park—there’s also food! You can nibble on dumplings inspired by tiger stripes (, sip cocktails named things like Ginseng Petrichor (aka forest-scented vodka). The five course dinner starts at $128 with an additional $25 for beef.
Guests can enjoy specialty food and beverage items at Genesis House Restaurant throughout the duration of the installation. The menu includes MUGWORT GULRIM MANDU, a Korean spring dumpling made with tiger-striped mandu sheets, reminiscent of the installation’s tiger motifs, alongside a dessert and two unique cocktails. Introducing GINSENG PETRICHOR, a soju-based cocktail inspired by the scent of rain, blending green tea vodka, ginseng, astragalus, pyogo, nokcha, doraji and pear syrup, and orange blossom water. Among the offerings is HANBANG PPULI, a zero-proof cocktail crafted with honey and ginseng cheong, ginger beer, bori-cha, matcha, and vegan egg whites. Traditional cocktails start at $88 for classic and $112 for reserve.
In the words of Genesis COO Tedros Mengiste, this partnership pushes “the boundaries of design and technology.” Paltrow, brings her “elevated lens” to it all which is so synchronous and fitting by someone who once sold a $75 candle that smelled like her female forest within.
The Forest Within runs through June 29 at Genesis House. Genesis House also offers a library of hundreds of rare books, it has an old soul and secrets to share. You can see the “Forest Within” which takes 10-15 minutes and Genesis vehicles for free.
Tickets and reservations are not required. Genesis House Restaurant guests will have access to extended hours after completing their dinner reservation
