Assembled in US Hyundai Ioniq 9 MSRP Starts at $60k -$7.5k tax Credit

Hyundai Motor America on Thursday announced pricing for the 2026 Ioniq 9, the automaker’s latest foray into the premium electric SUV market. Designed to accommodate modern family life, the three-row crossover combines luxury, range, and cutting-edge technology—all at a starting price just north of $60,000.

The Ioniq 9, which will be built at Hyundai’s new Metaplant facility in Bryan County, Ga., promises over 300 miles of all-electric range across all trim levels. Positioned as a class-above alternative in a segment increasingly crowded with EV options, the vehicle arrives in U.S. dealerships in early May. The Ioniq 9 is eligible for full $7,500 federal tax credit.

The base model, the rear-wheel-drive Ioniq 9 S, begins at $60,555 (destination included) and offers an EPA-estimated 335-mile range. Moving up the lineup, the all-wheel-drive Performance Limited trim is priced at $72,850 and delivers 422 horsepower, 311 miles of range, and 21-inch wheels. At the top end, the Performance Calligraphy trim—outfitted with exclusive aluminum trim, distinctive front and rear fascias, and an expanded suite of safety and convenience technologies—starts at $76,590. A range-topping Design variant adds matte paint and turbine wheels, pushing the price to $78,090.

The Ioniq9 offers a  full suite of safety features, including Highway Driving Assist 2, Blind-Spot View Monitor, and an enhanced version of its Smart Parking Assist system.

Photographs released by the company show the Ioniq 9 in various California locales, highlighting its minimalist interior, expansive cabin, and refined exterior detailing—hallmarks of Hyundai’s push toward a more upscale identity under the Ioniq sub-brand.

Hyundai is also offering customers a choice between a complimentary ChargePoint® Home Flex Level 2 charger (installation not included) or a $400 public charging credit, usable via the ChargePoint app. Chargers and installations are arranged through Hyundai’s dedicated home energy marketplace.

Perhaps most notably, the Ioniq 9 is among the first non-Tesla vehicles to come equipped with a native North American Charging Standard (NACS) port, allowing seamless access to Tesla’s Supercharger network. Hyundai will also include adapters for compatibility with CCS and Level 2 charging stations.

“With Ioniq 9, we set out to deliver a no-compromises family SUV that just happens to be electric,” said Olabisi Boyle, Hyundai Motor North America’s senior vice president for product planning and mobility strategy. “It offers the space, finish, and technology that families expect—along with the speed and convenience of modern electric charging.”
