Nominations for the Tech CARS (Technology of Connected Autos Rated Superior) Awards 2015 for connected car services, apps, devices, people, software and events are now open closed.
You can vote for your favorites until January 15, 2016 11:45pm PST.
This year there will be new categories for the “People’s Choice” of the connected car industry as well as the original categories that premiered in 2014.
Categories carried over from last year (2014) are:
1. Overall Best Implementation of Any New Car Tech to Make Lives Easier or Better.
2. Best Implementation of Connected Car Tech with Smartphones.
3. Best New Electric Car Feature.
4. Best Deployment of ADAS Features in 2015.
5. Best OBDII Port Connected Device in 2015.
6. The Best Car Tech Connected Car Trade Show, Exhibition or Symposium.
7. The Edsel Yugo Award for worst biggest automotive tech Snafu in 2015.
New categories are:
A. Best Self-Driving Autonomous Car of 2015.
B. Best navigation app, device or service for cars.
C. Best backhaul software development platform for automakers.
D. Best security device or software for automotive cybersecurity.
E. Best aftermarket safety device for late model cars such as backup cameras or other devices or services that add ADAS features for less than $500.
F. Best aftermarket Bluetooth, Aux or speaker phone device under $100.
G. Best connected car PR representative from automakers or public relations firms.
H. Best connected car analyst, advocate or personality.
I. Best non-distracting app designed for smartphone use in cars.
J. Most anticipated new connected car tech to be released in 2016.
Z. New category from readers, newsletter subscribers or commenters.
The staff of AUTO Connected Car News tabulates the popularity of possible nominees from data culled from readers and comments. We also accept nominations from outside sources.
To nominate a product, person, app or service, the company or pr representative may nominate the product by stating the category in the comments below with a brief summary of why the product should be nominated and link to home page or any page of AUTO Connected Car News. Tweets routed to @AConnectedCar or with the hastag #TechCARS from sources other than the product or company will also be considered. Readers may nominate their favorites in the comments below too.
Deadline for nominations is December 1, 2015.
Voting will begin December 15, 2015 and close January 15, 2016.
