Subaru will offer digital in-dash guides that give Subaru owners access to owner’s manual information including infotainment and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems.
The Tweddle Group product lets drivers access electronic User Guide information through the touchscreen head unit. Quick Guide will launch in every North American Subaru equipped with Subaru Starlink systems.
The feature’s placement in the head unit delivers Owner’s Information to drivers where and when they need it most—behind the wheel. The Quick Guide works the way drivers think, in a simple, intuitive way, so it seems to serve up information before we even they know they need it.
Drivers will find Quick Guide in seven Subaru models for 2017: Outback, Forester, Legacy, Crosstrek, Impreza, WRX/STI and BRZ. Quick Guide repurposes three essential Subaru Owner’s Information publications:
- Quick Reference Guide
- Subaru Starlink User Guide
- EyeSight Driver Assist Technology User Guide
“We’re pleased to add Quick Guide to Subaru’s STARLINK app suite,” said Subaru of America Infotainment Product Manager Anthony Landamia. “Quick Guide delivers great practical utility in a seamless and intuitive way. We believe Subaru drivers will love having instant access to vehicle information right through the vehicle’s infotainment system. Quick Guide can also play a part in Subaru’s green initiatives as we move to go paperless in the future.”
Tweddle Group hosts and deploys Quick Guide as a cloud-based web client. The content bundle works off brand/year/model/market/language/publication specifications and integrates with the touchscreen system for a familiar, vehicle-branded experience. The cloud-based infrastructure delivers automatic, behind-the-scenes updates to both the feature and its content.
Tweddle Group claims it has a long history of innovation. The company continues to reinvent itself with great agility as the information space evolves. Quick Guide reinforces Tweddle Group’s standing as the premier partner in Owner’s Information services.
